I am a Kidney Stone Specialist, with 20 years of Consultant experience in providing modern laser treatment for kidney stone patients.
I am a Senior Consultant Urological Surgeon working at Spire Little Aston hospital, Sutton Coldfield, for last fifteen years, since 2005.
I graduated as a doctor in 1984 and have been working in the NHS for last 30 years. I started my Urology career in 1991 and completed training at the John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospital, Oxford in 2000.
I passed my FRCS in Surgery from RCS Ireland in 1990. I completed one year of Diploma in Urology at the Institute of Urology, University College London in 1993. Passed my MSc in Urology, 2years course, at the Institute of Urology, University College London 1996—1998. I cleared my FRCS Urology specialist exam in 1999. I passed FEBU, Fellowship European Board Urology, in 2001 from Vienna.
I have been a Consultant Urological Surgeon since 2000. I am currently based at Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield, part of University Hospital Birmingham, NHS Foundation Trust.
My private practice is based at Spire Little Aston Hospital, Sutton Coldfield.
The quality and provision of a medical service depends on good teamwork. I have an excellent and experienced team consisting of Consultant Uro-Radiologist, Senior group of Consultant Anaesthetists, specialist Endourology trained theatre nursing staff and support team.
My national data on the treatment of complex kidney stones since 2014 is available on National Audit published yearly by British Association of Urological Surgeons,BAUS.
During last twenty years, I have presented and published my clinical work at National and International forums, the World Congress of Endourology, European Urology meeting, and British Association of Urology meeting and Regional conferences. I have also published my Clinical work in National and International Journals.
I am a regional and National Urology Trainer, accredited by General Medical Council. I am a Clinical and Educational supervisor. I have trained Senior Registrars in Urology for last 15 years, who are now eminent Consultant Urological Surgeons across UK, America and Australia.
I have three sons, and four lovely grandchidren. I live locally in Sutton Coldfield.
